Dante
by bobby fernbaugh
I have a
new puppy,
and every time he sees me
he get's all jumpy.
His name is Dante
and he likes to follow me everywhere I go.
Sometimes he gets too hyper
and he starts to bite on my toe.
I know he doesn't
mean any harm,
So instead I let him
chew on my brother's arm.
He's part of our family,
and we all have a lot of fun.
He's getting so big now,
we call him O Fierce One.
He has so many toys like
bones, blankets, and balls.
He never has a need
to go shopping at the mall.
Dante, the thief,
likes to steal clothes, stuffed animals, and shoes.
And after the heist,
he usually takes a snooze.
Just recently Dante graduated
from puppy school,
and now nobody better mess with him,
because he's no fool.
Everyday he amazes
me more and more,
'cause now he can
open the back door.
No more diapers for good old Dante,
because he's now potty trained.
And my mom is happy
she doesn't have to clean up his stains.
Dante is often funny,
and very smart.
And our family will love him,
with all of our heart.
